Cooperation with the German Institut für Oberflächentechnik GmbH on the Audit and Certification of a Hot-Dip Galvanizing Plant in Quanzhou, China, According to DASt-Richtlinie 022
DASt Guideline 022 is mandatory for load-bearing steel components in the German building supervisory area. The guideline is aimed at planners, designers, manufacturing companies and hot-dip galvanizing plants. It specifies requirements for materials, construction, manufacturing and hot-dip galvanizing, and requires the documentation of verification procedures for hot-dip galvanized steel components.

On-site audit at the hot-dip galvanizing plant in Quanzhou.
A specialized sampling tool was fabricated according to standard requirements. After on-site sampling from the zinc bath, the sample was sent to the German Institut für Oberflächentechnik GmbH for chemical composition analysis and testing.
Sampling and testing at the Quanzhou hot-dip galvanizing plant confirmed that the chemical element composition meets the standard requirements.
The audit and certification of the hot-dip galvanizing plant were highly successful, and a certificate was issued.
